Shortly after 6 p.m. Technical Rescue Box 1-10 was alerted for an MVC, vehicle vs. building. Chief 10 (T. Schulz) arrived to find an SUV into the gas station/convenience store and a parked car.. The driver was the only occupant and was still in the vehicle. The driver was safely removed from the vehicle and transported by Queen Anne's County DES Paramedics for treatment of minor injuries. KIVFD personnel determined that the steel structural support column had been driven out of place by the vehicle. Temporary "T" spot shores were constructed and put in place to provide shoring until the vehicle and the stores inventory could be removed.
