Shortly before 1100 hrs on April 12, Station 1 was alerted for a first-due dwelling fire in the 1-14 box. Engine 12 (E12) arrived to find fire showing from an attached garage with extension into the home. E12 stretched the initial attack line and began interior fire suppression with assistance from ET1 and E25. Tower 1 (TW1) arrived shortly after, placing ladders and opening up the structure for crews operating inside. Command was held by Chief Thomas, with Division 1 operations managed by Lieutenant Moran. Crews operated on scene for approximately three hours before returning to service.
