It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of "Life Member" Dave Gellert Sr., known to all at the firehouse as "Pop's."

Pop's was more than just a member—he was a mentor, a friend, and one of our top responders for years. He never sought recognition or awards for his dedication, always giving his time selflessly for the good of the department. That was just who he was. While he never wanted the spotlight, he was often the recipient of a gag gift or two at our banquet, a testament to the camaraderie and good times he shared with us all.

Above all, Pop's was a genuine, down-to-earth guy who left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the firehouse and in our hearts.
