Today, Trooper 6 was gracious enough to host a demonstration for us at the University of Maryland Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown. Members from Grasonville volunteer fire department Kent Island volunteer fire department, United communities volunteer fire department, Queenstown volunteer fire department and Goodwill fire department were all in attendance as well as Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services.

Trooper paramedics Nolan and Koch reviewed patient loading strategies, whole blood administration, and the NO DESAT procedure with our crews and how we can best assist them prior to their arrival on scene.

Our Q & A session sparked conversation about LZ safety, IFR and weather considerations, aircraft resource management and team dynamics.
