Bay City Dwelling Fire

On Saturday January 25th at approximately 4 PM KIVFD and surrounding departments were alerted for a dwelling fire. KIVFD personnel arrived within minutes and found smoke coming from the dwelling. Neighbors advised that the occupants were still in the house. KIVFD personnel evacuated the occupants and their pets. The fire originated at the chimney and extended into the wall of the dwelling. Crews made a quick knock on the fire. Kent Island VFD, Grasonville VFD, Preston VFD, United Communities VFD, Queenstown VFD, Naval Academy FD, Annapolis City FD and AA Co. FD responded to the fire. Crews operated on scene for an hour.
