You will notice some coming updates to our web page. Among the changes will be this section focusing on events and happenings "Around Our House." Much like your house, many of our members feel at home here at Station 1. Many activities occur here and we will be updating this section very soon.

NEW FIRE STATION DEDICATION

Monday, December 10, 2007

The Department offically closed our 60 year old station located at 605 Main St in Stevensville on Saturday. Two hours later, the Department officially dedicated and opened the new station located at 1610 Main St in Chester. An estimated crowd of over 500 citizens visited the new station on Saturday and Sunday. Thanks goes out to our standby crews from Queesntown VFD, Odessa VFD (Delaware), and Halfway VFC. Photos of the dedication and open house are now posted on the Gallery page.
